Basketball clinics for young Moroccans with basketball star and Harlem Globetrotter Wayne Clark -
January 13-14, 2009

 

The U.S. Embassy's Public Affairs Section in Rabat seized the opportunity of the presence of basketball star and Harlem Globetrotter Wayne Clark in Morocco, and programmed him to give a clinic and show to young students in both Salé on January 13 at Bouazzaoui Stadium, and Tetouan on January 14 at the Urban Commune’s Stadium. Wayne Clark taught them not only basketball techniques, but imbued them with team spirit, discipline and above all the importance of being respectful and mindful of their coaches and their parents.

Mr. Clark ended the clinics with a "Slam Dunk" show where he amazed not only the kids but also coaches and his hosts. At the end, PAS distributed basketball jerseys to all the participants.
